Peter Vermes, Sporting Kansas City FC manager reached his 500 game in charge of the team, he shared with us insight on his contentment on reaching such a mile stone.

ASN Sports TV: first of all, I want to congratulate you on your 500 game in charge of Sporting Kansas City, what a milestone and how do you feel about that?

Peter Vermes: You know I did not know until the start of the game, what I will say is that I spent a lot of time in one place, obviously that’s what it tells because is my believe in the project of the club, is my relationship with the people at the club, the ownership, the staff and the players. Is been fantastic and I’m a blessed guy in that regard. I’m very fortunate and is nice to be in one place and be part of such a great project that what I will say.

ASN Sports TV: Do you think a win would have capped off such a milestone?

Peter Vermes: it would have been nice, but at the same time I know how hard it is to get a win on the road in this league. I will say when you come for a home opener of the other team, it is always a difficult game because they want to prove to their home fans and everybody that they are ready to have a great season, so for us to score the 1st goal and bring in young guys at the end and give them a chance to feel what is like to hold on to a point. It was a good day for the experience for those players and for me it was a good day.

ASN Sports TV: If you sit back and re-watch the 1-1 draw, what do you think you could have done differently?

Peter Vermes: Especially when the young guys came in at the end, they had some good chances, but they rushed things. They were too excited, Stephen Afrifa who is on the right, he could have two times dribbled into the box but he served the ball early, he doesn’t need to do that. It was probably rushed, a little excited but also, I think that this opportunity to get to the field and feel what is like is going to serve them and us moving forward.

ASN Sports TV: What do you think of your Nigeria FW,William Agada?

Peter Verme: So right now, he is in a very good form, he had a very good preseason, Willy have some pretty good qualities, I will like to see him make his own chances around the goal because few times today, he could have turned and went toward the goal instead of going backward and took his own chance because he is very good in taking shots from distance but today his playing in between the line is very good and finding other players excellent and his anticipation on when to press is very good.

ASN Sports TV: Thank you very much.
