Toronto FC winger Lorenzo Insigne will miss up to six weeks due to a hamstring injury suffered in last week's win over Atlanta United.
TFC head coach John Herdman on Friday confirmed the 32-year-old's extended period on the sidelines, leaving the club without their most effective player so far this season.
Insigne has 2g/0a in five appearances, helping the Reds jump out to a 3W-1L-1D record in 2024 after last season's Wooden Spoon finish.
Toronto host Sporting Kansas City on Saturday night at BMO Field in Matchday 7 (7:30 pm ET)
