The Flying Eagles of Nigeria are in the last eight of the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup by beating 6th-time champions, Argentina 2-0 on Wednesday at the Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario, San Juan.
The Nigerians made it to the knockout stage as the best-losing team of the tournament having finished 3rd in group D, but they rocked the Argentines who finished top of group A with maximum points.
Flying Eagles coach, Ladan Bosso made three changes to the lineup that lost 2-0 to Brazil in their final group game but goals from Ibrahim Beji Muhammad and Rilwanu Haliru Sarki ended the runs of the South Americans.
