The 2025 Major League Soccer (MLS) season is set to be one of the most thrilling yet, with several high-profile signings poised to make a significant impact. Among the notable acquisitions are Wilfried Zaha and Jonathan Bamba, both expected to elevate the league’s competitive landscape.

Wilfried Zaha, the dynamic Ivorian forward, has joined Charlotte FC on loan from Galatasaray. Zaha, 32, boasts an impressive record with 100 goals and 59 assists in 524 professional matches, primarily from his tenure at Crystal Palace in the English Premier League. Charlotte FC’s general manager, Zoran Krneta, expressed excitement about Zaha’s world-class talent and versatility, anticipating an immediate impact on the team. Zaha has also contributed five goals in 33 appearances for the Ivory Coast national team. 

Jonathan Bamba to Chicago Fire FC

Jonathan Bamba, the Ivorian international winger, has been transferred from RC Celta to Chicago Fire FC. Bamba joined Celta in August 2023 from Lille and participated in 42 matches, accumulating over 2,900 minutes on the field, with a total of six goals and three assists. His agility and goal-scoring abilities are expected to bolster Chicago Fire’s attacking options.
